Since the end of March 2010, the RUHR.VISITORCENTER Dortmund near the U-Tower is the central starting place for expeditions into the eastern part of the Cultural Capital RUHR.2010.

The RUHR.VISITORCENTER Dortmund comprises three divisions. In the service zone, visitors can obtain information on the Cultural Capital and recommendations for day trips into the region. In addition, tickets can be ordered on site. And a gift shop tops it all off.

In the so-called impression zone, an interactive telescope provides an overview of the Ruhr metropolitan area and presents the highlights. The experience zone – the heart of the RUHR.VISITORCENTER Dortmund – invites visitors to find out more about the Ruhr metropolis by means of an interactive table.
