A palace for a new world
Paradise doesn’t need culture. Any disturbance or any deficiency constitutes a radical starting point of development. There are only ideal conditions in dead worlds. "palaixbrut" invites visitors to enter rooms whose "residents" make up their own laws and rituals, document every-day situations using artistic means, place stories from the edge of society into the centre of attention and debunk social inequality.
It is a model allowing for artistic processes to efficiently design urban environments. "palaixbrut_installation" is a "social sculpture" in the shape of a palace where European and regional artists live and perform.
The guests are actively incorporated into concerts, actions and performances. Starting in spring 2010, teams composed of dramatists and artists are going to develop productions of different artistic genres for this "inclusive project". On the long-term basis, it is planned to establish a centre offering vocational training and employment in the fields of performance, dance, music, audio play, movie and visual arts to people with and without disabilities which is meant to be an international junction for an artistic/scientific exchange with regard to "arts and handicaps".
