There is more of Europe in Dortmund than one might think. The Dortmund U-Tower, Phoenix Lake or the MST.factory – as different as these projects are, they all received funding from the European Union.

Through various funding programmes such as the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European research and innovation framework programme Horizon Europe and the European Social Fund (ESF), projects from a wide variety of topics receive financial support from the EU. It is not only the city or municipality that is eligible for funding – especially the universities, companies and associations in Dortmund also benefit from European funding.
